Le 15 avril 2014, à l'âge de 91 ans, est décédée Mme Joan Manning, épouse de M. Edgar Pennefather. Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Peter (Yvonne), Steve (Barbara), Teresa (Gary), Tom, Nano (Frank), Bob (Monique), Mary (Philippe) et Charles, ses petits-enfants et ses arrière-petits-enfants, ses soeurs Dorothea et Sheila, son beau-frère Dick (Esther) ainsi que plusieurs parents et amis. La famille recevra les condoléances le dimanche 27 avril de 14 h à 17 h et de 19 h et 21 h ainsi que le lundi 28 avril de 9 h à 10 h 30 à la:

Beloeil, le mercredi, 16 avril 2014 Ma chère Mary, Alea Jacta es! Voilà ce qui encore une fois vient nous confirmer que nous sommes des créatures anecdotiques. Partie inhérente du mystère de la vie, ce terme nous laisse perplexes devant l’infinité des croyances qui l’entoure. Une chose est certaine, ceux qui restent sur le radeau ont besoin de sentir un réconfort auprès de leurs frères humains. In the last few years, since I have been living in Saint-Bruno, Aunt Joan would go walking in the Saint-Bruno Park with Charlie and Tommy. She would often park her car in front of our place. She made a very positive impression on André, my partner with her cheery disposition and her great physical fitness. We will miss her. Love Anne

To Mary, Charlie, Tommy, Nano, Peter, Steven, Teresa, Bobby and Uncle Paddy. Aunt Joan was a very inspiring godmother. I remember her wonderful handpainted birthday cards that she sent me almost every year, and my summer visits to St-Hilaire where she would come out of the kitchen to take pictures of special moments. She was full of beans until the very end. I remember having fun dancing with her at my mothers funeral celebration. Just last summer after a long day at the mosaiculture, she came and had supper at my place. Steven asked her if she was tired. She replied how her day was just perfect and full of action. At supper time Mary commented that maybe her plate was to full, and she insisted on keeping it all because she was very hungry. After eating everything she insisted on having desert that she obviously enjoyed very much. She was so appreciative and full of Joy. I will carry her in my heart and count on her spirit for wise advice. Love Joanie

Pennefather family
Dear Pennefather cousins and Uncle Paddy, I am so sorry for your loss. Aunt Joan was a remarkable,vibrant person. I remember trying to keep up with her while skiing on Mont-St-Hilaire or bicycling on the mountain road. Not only was she a great athlete andartist, she was also a great cook and baker. An invitation to one of her meals was going to be a feast. She was thoughtful and caring with all the hand drawn or painted birthday or Christmas cards that she sent. I am happy to have the memory of hosting a visitwith her and Nano to Nova Scotia, 2 weeks before her 90th birthday, where she climbed a hill while carrying large stones from the beach. She leaves her family with a wonderful legacy full of lasting memories. My thougths are with you all. love from your cousin, Liz

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Joan. She was a lovely, loving lady; so full of energy. I was lucky to have seen her in October when she came out to visit Bob and I was impressed at how spry she was! I still have every one of her Xmas cards that she painted! In some ways it is a blessing that it was so sudden and painless for her. I can't imagine Aunt Joan being slowed down with a long, drawn out illness! Our deepest sympathies to the family - all my cousins, Aunt Sheila, Aunt Dorothea and Uncle Paddy during this very difficult time. Love, Rita Manning and family

Dear. Uncle Paddy and Pennefather cousins,
To Uncle Paddy and our wonderful cousins..Aunt Joan was a truly remarkable person. She was so energetic and full of spunk. We had the pleasure of having supper with her last spring when she and Nano came to visit my parents in March. She had just gotten back from a trip with her sister out west and was so happy to share her travelling adventures with us. My dad and mom were so happy to see her and it was great to have shared that special meal with them. They exchanged stories of the good old days: the cottage in Aylmer, the visits to Aunt Nano's and Uncle Coleman's place and we took a couple of pictures at my parents' apartment. I will always remember her 90th birthday party. Aunt Joan was radiant and so happy to have her loved ones there to share this special day with her. I was so glad that my parents were able to be part of this special celebration. We will cherish all these memories and am thankful that myself and my parents were able to spend some quality time with her just recently. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you in these difficult times. We will miss her. Love your cousin Marthita and family

Ma chère Mary C'est avec beaucoup de sympathie que viens partager ta peine. Je ne peux malheureusement pas aller au service mais je te promet que j'aurai une pensée pour toi et ta famille lundi. Je crois bien qu'elle a une belle place au ciel car moi je connais sa fille très généreuse et tu sais les pommes ne tombent jamais bien loin de l'arbre. Bonjour, J'ai travaillé avec Charles au Pot-en-ciel de l'Arche Beloeil pendant près de deux ans. J'ai eu le plaisir de rencontrer ses parents et sa famille à quelques reprises, ce qui m'a permis de comprendre pourquoi Charles était une personne si droite et attachante. Je sais que la maman de Charles était artiste, don qu'elle lui a sans aucun doute transmis. Son aisance en dessin m'a toujours ébahie. Je suis avec vous en pensée. Mes sincères condoléances.
