LEWIS, Chelsford

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chelsford Frederick Lewis of Montreal, Canada formerly of Westmoreland, Barbados on April 12, 2022, at the age of 77.
Husband of Veta, father of Dion (Chris), Cedric (Julie) of Montreal, and Troy (Maxine) and Paul (Maxine) of Barbados. Eldest son of predeceased Vivian and Chelston. Brother of Alicia, Celestine, Claudette (Ernest), St.Clair, Orion (Pam) and by predeceased Catharine. Brother-in-law of Delcina, Clotelle, Ruby, Nesta, Violet, by predeceased Bertram, Velma and Stella. He will be missed by many relatives, especially his nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends.
A service of thanksgiving of the life of Chelsford will be held on Saturday, May 7th, 2022 at 12 noon at All Saints by the Lake, 865 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval QC H9S 2C7. It will also be live-streamed. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:30 am on the 7th of May 2022.
Interment of the ashes will take place privately at a future date.

Un service d'action de grâce pour la vie de Chelsford aura lieu le samedi 7 mai 2022 à midi à All Saints by the Lake, 865 Lakeshore Drive, Dorval QC H9S 2C7. La cérémonie sera également diffusée en direct. Une visite aura lieu à l'église à partir de 11 h 30 le 7 mai 2022.
L'inhumation des cendres aura lieu en privé à une date ultérieure.

On behalf of my wife , myself and family, we send our deepest condolences and sympathy.
Chelsford was my first cousin and we grew up together in Westmoreland.
I immigrated to England and he to Canada. We last met in 2019/2020 when we were last in Barbados.
Thanks to Whats app. and Messenger we were able to keep in contact.
It saddened us to hear of his passing.
We did not know of his suffering but we know that he is now peaceably at rest and may he continue to REST IN PEACE.
He will always be remembered by us.
