Le 23 janvier 2018, à l`âge de 66 ans est décédé M. Roger Picard, époux de Lydia Hetenyi, fils de feu Major J.Roger Picard (ret.) et de feu Mme Margaret Muir et frère de feu Guy. Il laisse dans le deuil ses beaux-parents John Hetenyi et Pauline Lamarche, son beau-frère, Claude Hetenyi (Nathalie Gauthier) et leurs trois fils Alexandre, Simon et David Hetenyi-Gauthier, sa belle-soeur Nancy et ses deux neveux Brad et Brian Picard, résident en Colombie Britanique ainsi que plusieurs tantes et cousins/cousines à Cornwall, Montréal, Ottawa et Toronto. En plus de sa famille, il laisse dans le deuil ses amis de longue date aux États-Unis (AZ, FL, NO, NY) et au Canada (C.-B., ON, QC – Boucherville, Brossard, Greenfield Park, Longueuil et autres villes voisines).

La famille recevra les condoléances le 3 février de 10 h à 11 h au sous-sol de l`Église Holy Cross située au 765, rue Piché, Boucherville, suivi à 11 h d`une courte cérémonie au rez-de-chaussée de l`Église et d'un léger goûter au sous-sol de 11 h 30 à 12 h 30.

On January 23rd, 2018, at the age of 66 years, Mr. Roger Picard passed away. Predeceased by his parents Major. J. Roger Picard (ret.) and Margaret Muir and his brother Guy, he is survived by his wife, Lydia Hetenyi along with her parents John Hetenyi and Pauline Lamarche, her brother Claude Hetenyi (Nathalie Gauthier) and their three sons Alexandre, Simon and David Hetenyi-Gauthier. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Nancy and her two sons Brad and Brian Picard, based in the Vancouver area as well as many aunts and cousins based in Cornwall, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. In addition to his family, he is survived by longtime friends in the USA (AZ, FL, NO, NY) and in Canada (BC, ON, QC – Boucherville, Brossard, Greenfield Park and Longueuil and other surrounding towns.)

A short visitation will take on Saturday, February 3^rd in the basement of the Holy Cross Church at 765 Pierre Piché Street in Boucherville from 10:00 to 11:00, followed by a short service in the church at 11:00 and light refreshments from 11:30 to 12:30 in the basement of the church.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Roger Picard to The Fabrique of the Parish of the Holy Cross, 765 Pierre Piché Street, Boucherville, QC, J4B 3H8, will be appreciated. Hello Lydia,

My thoughts and sympathy are with you. I have not seen Roger since my brother Terence's funeral, though I did telephone him one time a few years later.

I hope he did not suffer. Roger was such a joy to talk to - my brothers really relished his friendship. Some of the times I remember: Terence went to Farnham to army camp with Roger - we called him "PIC" when they were 1just 6 years old. Roger was best man at Terence's wedding. We played Trivia Pursuit one night at my parents' home and Terence could not get over how much Roger knew in all the categories. Roger was always smiling and always willing to help out in any way. He will be missed.
