ARÈS, Jean-Claude

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 30,2020 with his wife and daughter by his side at the Ottawa General Hospital at the age of 86. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years Monique (nee Jennings), his loving children Jocelyne (Pierre Genest), Christian, Jasmine (Joe Carchidi) and Carmen (Serge Lavallée). Dear grand-papa to Michelle, Nicholas, Gabrielle and Olivier. He is survived by his sisters Thérèse, Rita, Jacqueline, Paulette, Francine and Lisette and brother in law Claude Bougie. Predeceased by his brothers Marcel, Roger, Laurent, Guy, Jacques and sisters, Hélène, Denise, Pauline. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. 

The family would like to thank everyone who took care of him. Battling cancer and dementia was not easy and he fought until the end. He will be remembered for his great sense of humour, his joie de vivre, his generosity and many more. He will be missed to all who knew him - may he Rest In Peace. 

Due to COVID restrictions, funeral services On Tuesday October 13, 2020 will be private.
