Dear Aurélie and Julia,
So sorry to hear about the passing of Robbie. Sending you both a hug, and lots of warm thoughts of Marie-Aimé.
It is with great emotion that we announce the passing of Robert “Robbie” Wales at the age of 71 in the early morning of April 2nd. He is survived by his two daughters, Aurélie (Danny) and Julia (Chris), his four grandchildren – Lucas, Rose Aimée, Olivia Grace and Gabriel – as well as his partner, Anne-Marie. He is also survived by his siblings who he continued to speak with almost everyday: his brother, Peter (Winnie) and his three sisters, Heather (Bruce), Carole (Ron), and Janet (Ray). Last but not least, Robbie leaves behind an extensive network of close friends, many of whom he knew a lifetime, and those who he touched with his musical talent and humour.
Although an intimate family gathering will be held at a later date, Aurélie and Julia encourage friends to come together in the upcoming weeks to celebrate Robbie’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Québec Breast Cancer Foundation in the memory of Marie-Aimée “Amy” Houppé, Robbie’s beloved and pre-deceased companion.
