Tammy Palmer, age 50, of Montreal, Quebec passed away surrounded by her family at 6:30pm on Thursday, July 13th, at Notre-Dame Hospital. After surviving a battle with cancer, a sudden stroke on Tuesday morning had stolen her away from us. Tammy was born on September 9, 1966 in Gaspe, Quebec to Gordon and Dolores Palmer.
Tammy loved family, children, animals, music and Teddy bears, especially Winnie-the-Pooh. Her studies and work in Early Childhood Education allowed her to combine these loves. Her Pooh tattoo was her persona. It was Pooh who said "Some people care too much. I think it's called love." She cared so much because she loved. Another Winnie-the-Pooh quote, is also a quote for Tammy: " You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think".
Tammy is survived by her mother, Dolores, her brother, Danny, her sister, Cammy (Alain), her niece, Magaly, and her nephews, Simon, Mathew, and Johnathan. Tammy is preceded by our father, Gordon.
The family will recieve condolences for Tammy on Friday, July 21st from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, at Residence Funeraire Notre-Dame at 9480 Rue Notre-Dame Est, Montreal and will be followed by a ceremony in her honour. Tammy will be laid to rest, with her father, Gordon, at the Mont-Royal cemetery on Saturday July 22nd at 9:30am in the Maple Groove section. We will always carry your memory Tammy in our hearts.
